2025-2026 enrollment in Kansas City Young Chamber Musicians is now open!

Students between the ages of 10 - 18 ranging from the Intermediate through the Advanced playing levels are welcome to apply for placement in duets, duos, trios, quartets, and quintets in the following instrumental categories: violin, viola, cello, piano, wind, and reed instruments.

Screening Requirements:

Screening for the 2025-2026 Academic Year are ongoing by appointment for placement in an ensemble for any of the following 15-week-terms. Contact us at info@musicacaemykc.com if interested:

1.) Performance: 1 selection of the student’s choosing that demonstrates their current level of playing. (Memorization not required.)

2.) Sight-Reading: An excerpt will be provided at the screening to demonstrate the student’s current level of sight-reading.

3.) Interview: Please be prepared to answer a few questions from our faculty about your current musical activities and interest in playing in an ensemble.
