Giving to Kansas City Young Chamber Musicians
For over a decade, the Music Academy of Kansas City (MAKC) has helped KC families discover what’s possible through music. To expand access and opportunity, our fundraising benefits Kansas City Young Chamber Musicians (KCYCM)—a 501(c)(3) whose combined efforts with MAKC programs provide scholarships, chamber coaching, instruments, masterclasses, and community performances for young musicians across the metro. Donations are made to KCYCM, which issues charitable receipts.
How giving works
Where gifts go: Donations and sponsorships are made to KCYCM (a 501(c)(3)) and processed on KCYCM’s secure page.
Receipts: KCYCM issues charitable tax receipts; gifts are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
Impact at MAKC & beyond: Funds support KCYCM’s mission— including scholarships and chamber opportunities that benefit MAKC students and the broader KC youth musical community.

FAQ
Is my gift tax-deductible?
Yes. Contributions are made to KCYCM (501(c)(3)), and KCYCM issues receipts. Deductibility depends on IRS rules and the value of any benefits received.
Why does KCYCM process donations?
MAKC hosts fundraising and music education; KCYCM is the nonprofit beneficiary dedicated to youth chamber music and access. Routing gifts through KCYCM keeps giving clean for tax receipts and employer matches.
Can I sponsor in-kind?
Yes. We’ll acknowledge the estimated fair-market value and extend appropriate sponsor benefits.
